We are extremely thrilled and equally humbled to have this opportunity to “meet” you. Thank you for considering us in your adoption plans and giving us the chance to introduce our family. It has been quite an adventure and blessing getting to this point in our adoption journey, a process that has been ultimately over a decade in the making. At the same time, we have no doubt the last several months have been an emotional and challenging journey for you. We pray the decision gives you peace and joy knowing your child will join a loving, large extended family and have nearly unlimited opportunities to excel in whatever he or she chooses.
Our family philosophy is centered on Faith in God and includes love for travel/food, enjoying fellowship with friends and family around the globe, and (both Jenn and I) serving our country as United States Air Force officers.
The love and commitment roots are very strong in our families as evidenced by the deep devotion to marriage. Both sets of parents have been married over 45 years and we are celebrating 11 years. Our morals and values are founded on encouragement, compromise, laughter, and teamwork—we think it shows in every aspect of our lives, in Naomi, and we hope it will in our adopted child.
At the very beginning of our dating relationship over 13 years ago, we discussed the adoption idea and were both 100% in favor of it, even if we were able to have children naturally. Here we are 13 years later, excited about the opportunity to welcome another child into our home/family. We feel now is the perfect time in our life and careers, but most importantly, we know God is in control. We hope you find our family an ideal fit for your child and look forward to meeting you in person.
While my first 21 years were spent in the Midwest, my last 18+ have been spent exploring most of the U.S. and numerous foreign countries, courtesy of the Air Force. I’m proud of my officer profession and career, but my passion is being a Child of God, husband, father, and friend. I love the outdoors, whether it’s one of my many athletic-based hobbies, or sightseeing everywhere. I’m so blessed to have family who mean everything to me—whether it’s relatives, the military, or my favorites—Jenn and Naomi. I’m committed to having a warm, loving, God-honoring home and I’m excited about welcoming another beautiful child to join our adventure.
From 9-5 I am an engineer for the Air Force, but the rest of the time I am blessed to be a wife to an amazing man and mommy to a beautiful girl. My faith and my family are very important to me. I believe children are our future and make them a priority at home and in my volunteer work. I have been very blessed by God over the years with a steady job, loving family, and great opportunities. I grew up moving across the country and continued the trend in the Air Force by living around the country and even a short stint overseas. We have embraced every location and made it a real home.
We have a passion for exploration and adventure whether it is small neighborhood parks or National Parks, bike rides, visiting museums, factories, zoos, and amusement parks. But with all that activity, we usually reserve Friday nights for “pizza and a movie” sleepover in our living room. We’ve been blessed with the opportunity to attend the White House Easter Egg Roll, enjoy 3 different Disney theme parks, watch major league baseball games at 4 different stadiums, and even look forward to unique family traditions such as going for drives through the countryside looking for deer and other wildlife when we visit Grandma and Grandpa’s house.
We hope this short introduction has given you a welcoming and insightful look into our family and pray you find our family to be warm, loving, and a perfect fit for your child.
